Description

A talent tree is a way of giving your S.C.O.T.C.H. agent a particular specialization in ghost hunting and trapping.

The adventurer talent tree is focused on talents and specialties related to raiding and monster hunting.

You can gain the different talents (buffs) in the tree for your setup by assigning 1 or more talent points to the talents you want.

You get talent points by completing various tasks in Ghost Trappers.

Figuring out where to put your talent points

You can plan where you want to put your talent points by using the in-game talent point calculator.

The calculator gives you 42 "pretend" talent points that you can allocate to the different talents to see what would happen if you specialized in a particular tree, or if you tried to spread your points evenly across all of the trees, etc.

Using the "reset points" button on the calculator page lets you try a different arrangement of points and talents, without affecting your real talent points.

Tree

Each time you allocate one or more points to an accomplishment/talent in the adventurer talent tree, you gain one rank in that talent. In addition, as soon as you assign the first talent point to a talent, its symbol changes to the one shown in the table below.

Empty tree

Before you allocate any talent points to the adventurer talent tree, it looks like this:

Loothunter talents

Only one loothunter bonus can be gotten among all three of the talent trees. Compare the loothunters available in the adventurer talent tree with those from the barkeeper and buster talent trees before assigning talent points to them.

A loothunter from one of the talent trees should receive the associated loothunter bonus from a collection.

A loothunter from one of the talent trees does not require a companion with the same loothunter bonus to be activated.

Allocating points

You must begin adding points to a talent tree on tier 1. Each tree "lights up" the talents into which you can put points at any particular time. You cannot begin adding points to talents anywhere in the tree; you must begin on tier 1. There are a minimum number of points required on previous tiers before you can advance to a later tier, as shown here:

Minimum points Tiers req'd To reach tier
5 Tier 1
10 Tiers 1 & 2
15 Tiers 1, 2 & 3 Tier 4
20 Tiers 1–4 Tier 5
25 Tiers 1–5 Tier 6
30 Tiers 1–6 Tier 7
35 Tiers 1–7 Tier 8
40 Tiers 1–8 Tier 9
45 Tiers 1–9 Tier 10

Talents

Sorting the talents

  • Click on the downward arrow symbol in any table header-cell to sort the tree (alphabetically or numerically, as appropriate) based on that type of information. This can be useful when, for example, comparing the different loothunter possibilities.

The default sort is in the order the talents are shown in the empty adventurer talent tree.

When you have assigned at least 1 talent point to an item in the adventurer talent tree, its symbol changes to the one shown below.

If you never assign any talent points to a particular talent/buff, then its symbol remains as it is shown in the empty tree above.
