During his lifetime, this ghost was an inspector at S.C.O.T.C.H. Because of some tragic event, he now spends his time on the ghostly side, but will never give up his sworn duty of trapping ghosts or his Hawaii shirts.

Theft risks

The private eye ghost may steal GTP (£££), XP, plasma or bait from you if you fail to capture it.

Using Nessy's, one of the Shadetouch family, or a mocktail as bait will prevent the bait being stolen.

In general, increasing the security measures of your setup can help reduce your total losses. Adding a stat like security measures, though, can hurt your stat totals in other areas. You must decide if increasing your security measures stat to reduce the chance of theft by ghosts like private eye ghost is worth sacrificing other stats in your setup.

Mystic resistance

The private eye ghost is resistant to mystic power.

Mystic-resistant ghosts have three primary types:

  • Ghosts that can be caught with a strong raw-power setup
  • Ghosts that can only be caught with a combination of willpower (to overcome their mystic resistance) and high mystic power
  • Ghosts that require brute force in your setup to activate before they can be caught

Use a high mystic power, high willpower setup when you are trying to catch the Private eye ghost.

Brute force may also strengthen your setup when you are trying to catch the Private eye ghost.

The private eye ghost can only be captured during certain special events in:

The private eye ghost has been known to occasionally drop the following types of ghost loot:
