Description

Polar hunter ghost is a true master of the bow. It takes great focus to shoot straight through the numbing cold, especially when you don't have thumbs any more. That's probably why he isn't a great talker.

Additional information

Location

The polar hunter ghost can be captured in all three versions of the Castle McDeigh complex in region 6, Central:

No theft risk

There is no risk that the polar hunter ghost will steal GTP (£££), XP, bait, or ghost plasma if you fail to catch it.

Thawing

The polar hunter ghost may be frozen when you attract it.

The best way to catch a frozen polar hunter ghost is to have the thawing stat in your setup, and for that thawing chance to be activated.

You can also catch a frozen polar hunter ghost with brute force in your setup if that brute force stat activates.

There is no way to catch a frozen polar hunter ghost with just a high raw power setup (and no thawing or brute force) or with just a high mystic power setup (and no thawing or brute force).

Drops

The polar hunter ghost has been known to occasionally drop the following types of ghost loot:

Mockery loot

If you have the mockery stat in your setup (through the talent tree bonus or because of an accessory, companion or contract with the stat} you may occasionally have between 2 and 10 mocktails added to other loot drops from the polar hunter ghost. Because these mockery drops are so dependent on a player's individual setup and cannot be relied upon, none of the mocktails are included in the loot list above. The entire list of possible mocktails that may be dropped is on the mocktails page.

Mockery stat drops can be distinguished from a normal loot drop as follows:

A standard loot drop of a mocktail     5x Cherry bomb
A mockery stat caused] loot drop of a mocktail     5 Devil driver
Snowflake loot

If you have the snowfall stat in your setup (because of an accessory, companion or contract with the stat on it), the polar hunter ghost may occasionally and randomly drop you a snowflake as loot. Because these snowfall-driven drops are so dependent on a player's individual setup and cannot be relied upon, snowflake loot drops are not specifically included in the list above.

Vintage connoisseur loot

If you have the vintage connoisseur stat in your setup (through an accessory, companion or contract with the stat} you may occasionally have between 2 and 10 bottles of a non-Nessy's loot potion or of Shadetouch blue or Shadetouch purple added to other loot drops from the polar hunter ghost. Because these connoisseur drops are so dependent on a player's individual setup and cannot be relied upon, none of the non-Nessy's loot potions involved are included in the loot list above. The entire list of possible bottles that can be dropped is found on the non-Nessy's loot potions page.

Both normal drops of a particular non-Nessy's loot potion and connoisseur drops of a particular loot potion show the same way in your journal:

16 x Shadetouch purple (10 bonus loot)
