Usage

Campfire news

There is no requirement that you must purchase Nessy's to play Ghost Trappers.

It is quite possible to play Ghost Trappers very successfully without Nessy's. While Nessy's Golden Reserve has some strong characteristics it has its own failures and problems as well.

Party ghosts

Using Nessy's with a contract or companion that has an attraction bonus of +1 does not give the Nessy's an attraction factor of Partylicious. The +1 or +2 attraction bonus means that you are more likely to attract rarer ghosts while that companion or contract are in your set-up.

In other words, you may occasionally encounter a party ghost while using Nessy's as bait with a companion or a contract with an attraction bonus. You will always (at least in Borders and Strathclyde locations) attract more party ghosts by using mocktails as bait.

Ghost Puzzlers

Nessy's can also be divided into tokens (10 tokens per bottle of Nessy's Golden Reserves) to play Ghost Puzzlers in competitive mode.

Deaugmentation

GUI-Deaugment with nessys.png

You can use 1000 Nessy's Golden Reserves to deaugment a companion. (This number can be reduced if you use the appropriate talent from the buster talent tree).

You must still have at least one deaugmentator in your inventory to be able to deaugment using Nessy's Golden Reserves.

To deaugment using Nessy's follow these steps:

  • Select the button next to "Use 1000 Nessy's"
  • Type the word "DEAUGMENT" (minus the quote marks) in the box
  • Click on the red "Deaugmentate" button

Summoning Room

You can also use Nessy's Golden Reserves to purchase glyphs from Lady Ayumi Bayoushi's 11th floor shop outpost in the Summoning Room.

Each glyph that you purchase (at 50 Nessy's each) can then be used to summon a specific set of ghosts for a defined period of time.

See the Summoning Room page for additional information.
