Malty mist is an attribute that can be associated with many aspects of your setup.
The malty mist attribute increases the chances that you will encounter a ghost monster, ghost dino monster or elemental monster. The more malty mist your setup has, the better your chance to encounter one of these epic ghosts.
Base amount of malty mist
You must have a malty mist based cauldron equipped to hunt ghost monsters, ghost dino monsters or elemental monsters. The basic cauldron, jura atomizer, or planar disruptor will provide 2 malty mist when equipped. Adding additional items with a malty mist attribute to your setup increases your malty mist total.
Remember: All the malty mist in the game will not help you catch monsters unless you have armed your cauldron with the appropriate plasma!
The malty mist attribute is stackable, which means that the value of each malty mist attribute in your setup is added to your malty mist total. Find the total amount of malty mist in your setup by looking at the your cauldron's tooltip on your Camp page or look at your My stats page.
Malty mist anti-stat
Remember that there is now an anti-stat malty mist, which appears on a number of pieces of equipment. The anti-stat reduces the total value of malty mist in your setup.
View the tooltip by placing your mouse pointer on the cauldron's image without clicking it. The tooltip text pops up and shows the total amount of malty mist you have, along with the amount of time your cauldron will be active before needing more fuel.
You have 11 malty mist. Ghost plasma will last 70 h 3 min and will attract Ghost monsters.
You have 10 malty mist. Jurassic ghost plasma will last 0 h 56 min and will attract Dino monsters.
You have 23 malty mist. Elemental ghost plasma will last 13 h 29 min and will attract Elemental monsters.
The malty mist attribute is associated with multiple items that can be used to build your trap setup. Most items need to be in your active setup to contribute to your malty mist total. Accessories need to be in your inventory and not disabled.
