Jurassic monsters are such strong and fierce creatures, that it takes the efforts of many agents combined to trap them!
A jurassic monster (sometimes called a dino monster ghost) is indicated with a monster head on its picture or outline in your hunting log.

The jurassic monsters:
Catching a jurassic monster requires the assistance of many friends—(minus any benefits you gain from having the monsterslayer stat bonus in your setup. Once enough friends have assisted you, you will see that you have caught the jurassic monster after the next hunt that you start. You must start the hunt; the jurassic monster will not appear after a friend-led hunt or a normal auto-hunt.
Some of the jurassic monsters may drop special loot, but this is the exception not the rule.
Notable loot from these monsters includes a number of souvenirs.
