Locations-Duke Leyton Pinnacle.jpg

The pinnacle is where the legendary dragonrider ghost can be found. However, they want more than ordinary potions and bait, meaning you must get your hands on a very special recipe to get their attention.

Duke Leyton is not an easy place to hunt ... in addition to the Duke Leyton Pinnacle, it contains two other hunting grounds:

You must obtain a pinnacle key from a Librarian ghost or a Dusty librarian ghost before you can enter Duke Leyton Pinnacle.

There is no additional charge to travel to Duke Leyton Pinnacle once you are in Duke Leyton.

You must meet the XP requirement for Duke Leyton to be able to trael to Duke Leyton Pinnacle, even if you have received a key from a mission reward.

You must use the Witch hunt mocktail in Duke Leyton Pinnacle to attract any of the local ghosts. Use any other bait and you can expect to be catching weak ghosts that belong in other locations.

Special ghosts

The Stonecold temptress ghost listed above is a special ghost because of the difficulty in catching it.

Special, gift, and seasonal ghosts can also be trapped in Duke Leyton Pinnacle, since they can be found in all non-raiding locations in Virtual Scotland.

To find out when (and which) seasonal ghosts may be available next, check out the seasonal ghost calendar.

Rewards information for those special and seasonal ghosts is available on the all non-raiding locations page.

Stray ghosts

We have many reports confirming that the Spooky ghost, the Shadow ghost, and the Reaper ghost, among others, have been captured in the Pinnacle by those unwary hunters who do not offer an appropriate bait for the local denizens. Hunters beware!

In other words, use the Witch hunt mocktail!

Loot may occasionally be dropped in Duke Leyton Pinnacle and in all non-raiding locations by special ghosts and by ghost monsters. For details see the special and ghost monsters loot list.

Ghost plasma, chrono crystal fragments, special edition magic potions (except for Glengreen purple and Moormist purple), and some companions are also occasionally dropped here.

The following mixers are also occasionally dropped in Duke Leyton Pinnacle:

Souvenir loot

The following souvenir loot is only dropped in Duke Leyton Castle:

In addition, the following souvenir loot is dropped in Duke Leyton Pinnacle and in all other Lothian locations:

Some special seasonal ghosts drop souvenirs that are only available for very short periods of time. Those souvenirs will also be available here. Possible souvenirs of this type include:

S.C.O.T.C.H. HQ is an interesting place, with treasures to be found in many different corners of its outpost in Duke Leyton Pinnacle:

Charles the bartender has a more limited selection available in the Pinnacle than in many other locations.

You can not buy any of the usual magic potions from the green family. Silver star green, Moonshadow green, Moormist green, and Glengreen green are not available for sale in the Pinnacle.

Charles also has a new recipe available for purchase by intrepid agents, the Witch hunt: it's a special favourite of the ghosts here in Duke Leyton Pinnacle. Charles also has a complete selection of other recipes available for purchase if you haven't filled out your recipe library yet.

He can always offer you a refund on bottles of Highland Pride if you'd like.

Charles is also always ready to help with your mixology needs, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Just bring the magic potion and the appropriate mixer, and Charles will have a batch of your favourite mocktail ready for you almost instantaneously.
