The chrysoberyl gargoyle is a secret special event ghost that appears in just one location.

XP to hunt

You must have at least 1,200,000 XP to hunt the chrysoberyl gargoyle.

No theft risk

There is no risk that the chrysoberyl gargoyle will steal GTP (£££), XP, bait, or ghost plasma if you fail to catch it.

The chrysoberyl gargoyle can only be seen in gaussgreen light. Stack your setup and camera with lenses, a flashlight, or other equipment with the gg light stat on them if you are trying to take a picture of the chrysoberyl gargoyle.

[Editorial note: We are aware that in real life chrysoberyl is a mostly yellow-ish gem. In Virtual Scotland, however, and in Castle McMahon, in particular, the light is such that the chrysoberyl tilts more towards the green-ish side of the spectrum. What can we say? Sometimes ghosts are weird!]

Mystic resistance

The chrysoberyl gargoyle is resistant to mystic power.

Mystic-resistant ghosts have three primary types:

  • Ghosts that can be caught with a strong raw-power setup
  • Ghosts that can only be caught with a combination of willpower (to overcome their mystic resistance) and high mystic power
  • Ghosts that require brute force in your setup to activate before they can be caught

Use a high mystic power, high willpower setup when you are trying to catch the Chrysoberyl gargoyle.

Brute force may also strengthen your setup when you are trying to catch the Chrysoberyl gargoyle.
